The Fedora

Today I wanted to share with you a day I spent in early October at St Mary’s Bay, a hidden beach in Devon. I had recently bought a Fedora from Zara and was itching to style it, for I feel it brings an outfit together and underlines the real completion of your outfit.
I used to be shy about wearing hats, as it can be identified as quite a statement!
The question, should I wear a hat? do they suit me? was continuously revolving in my mind, for if I was to wear it wrong, I could be perceived as someone that just wasn't me!
I came to the conclusion that one is truly dressed when wearing a hat! Although it is, indeed a statement, if you want to wear it and it suits your mood then just do it! Wearing a hat is one of the best ways to portray your personality, often a lot more than clothes, for as Christian Dior stated, ‘ a hat is the quintessence of femininity with all the frivolity this world contains!’
Below are photographs of the 5 outfits I styled around this Fedora, transitioning some summer looks to more Autumnal ones.
